Ceiba Energy launches Pedra Fundamental in billionaire investment

Ceiba Energy organized an event last Friday (05/05) to publicize the launching of the Pedra Fundamental of the Portocem Thermoelectric Power Plant, an undertaking that will be essential to guarantee the energy security of the country. With a capacity of 1,572 MW, the plant will be the second-largest private investment in Ceará, totaling R$ 4.7 billion. CET LOGISTICS was present at the ceremony, represented by its Specialist in Customs Legislation, Mariana Mendes.

The plant will be built in the Ceará Export Processing Zone (ZPE Ceará) and should generate around 1,700 jobs during its construction phase. The forecast for the start of operation is in July 2026. In addition to contributing to the economic development of the region, the plant will be essential to guarantee the energy security of the entire country.

The undertaking will operate at times of low water level in the hydroelectric reservoirs, low wind speed (which impairs wind generation) and low intensity of sunlight (which hinders photovoltaic generation). With this, the plant will provide more security to the National Interconnected System (SIN).

CET LOGISTICS, in turn, has experienced professionals and specialists in different areas to work together with its customers in challenging projects like this one. We are proud to be part of this important moment for Ceiba Energy and for the country's development.
