Oil and Gas

Oil is the most widely used energy source in the world, accounting for 43% of the total energy usage. It is composed of a complex combination of hydrocarbons, being obtained through fossil deposits on the seabed or at great continental depths. Among the petroleum derivatives, we have gasoline, which serves as fuel for most of the cars that circulate in the world, paraffin, natural gas, LPG, asphalt products, petrochemical naphtha, kerosene, solvents, fuel oils, lubricating oils, diesel oil and aviation fuel.

Currently the countries with the largest number of oil wells, being considered the world's largest producers are in the Middle East, USA, Russia, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Venezuela.

In Brazil, the oil industry has its origins in the mid-nineteenth century, but it was in the 1930s that it began to acquire importance. In that decade, the tendency to nationalize the subsoil resources emerged, culminating in the creation of Petrobras - Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. in 1954. Since then, numerous oil wells have been drilled, and with that, the necessity to import inputs for the development of this activity.

In view of this national scenario, in 1999 a government policy was created to promote the industry in this sector, known as a Special Regime for the Exportation and Importation of Goods Destined to the Exploration of Petroleum and Natural Gas - REPETRO.

CET LOGISTICS was founded in 1996 to meet the needs of this new sector, which required custom clearance specialists to develop new projects. This has made CET LOGISTICS the main benchmark in the oil and gas industry, serving for more than 20 years the largest industries in this sector.
